Ask these before you book
Clear answers to these make a decision much easier.
- Will a licensed provider see me before any treatment?
- Who gives the treatment, and what is their license?
- What specific training do they have for it?
- What is the device or product, and why do you use it?
- What does a series involve, and how many visits is typical?
- What should aftercare look like?
- If something goes wrong, what happens next?
- Can I have the full cost in writing first?
Your consultation notes
It helps to treat a consultation like any appointment where you need to make a decision. Bring notes in, and leave with notes.
Going in, have your health history, medications, allergies and past treatments written down, plus your questions. Coming out, write down who you met, what they suggested, the device or product named, the aftercare, and the total cost they quoted. Notes make it much easier to compare providers or sleep on it.
Reasons to wait
It is your face, your skin and your money. You can leave a consultation without booking, and you can come back later.
Slow down if there is pressure to book the same day, if no one offers a proper consultation, if you get vague answers about who will perform the treatment, or if the provider will not give you the cost in writing. To look up a license, ask for the person's full name and license type, then search the Oklahoma state board for that profession.
One form, one local provider, and your questions answered before any decision.
